Gong Xi Gong Xi!

Yippee! I get to celebrate Chinese New Year this year!
See my red baju... thanks to Aunty Raihana for getting it for me.
Although I was literally swimming in it, it was quite fun to be wearing this. I felt like a Kung Fu master...
* Ka-Pow!!!*

We finally visited great-grandma on the last day of CNY. Great grandma has been in-out of hospital for the past 2 weeks. A lot of them said I look so much like abah... I secretly think it is because I am tanned.. muahahaha!
But got some uncles and aunties commented that I am a handsome boy. I could almost see abah smiling from ear to ear cos that actually indirectly meant that he is handsome...

Mummy decided to open all the ang paos today. Harvest for this year is not bad.. All this will go into Danyaal's Trust Fund. Insya Allah, it will grow with the years to come....

Bye bye mummy...

I am going to miss him....
Although going back to work means getting my life back, which is something I quite yearn for after being a cave woman for 3 whole months, I can't help but feel very sad. Afterall we have been with each other everyday and to think that from tomorrow onwards, I will not be the one doing all the things for him... bathing him, feeding him, singing lullabies to him.. All these just leave a huge lump in my throat.
Since his arrival, he has caused so much emotions in both of us. Tears of frustration when I dunno what he is crying for. Heart being torn into pieces when he cried for one hour from pain due to his circumcison...The closeness that bind us together whenever I nurse him. The warmness he fills our heart whenever he coos at us. The joy he brings whenever he greets us with a smile first thing in the morning. I will miss so many of his "firsts". His first attempt at crawling... his first vowel.. his first chuckle... *signs*
Well I guess that is what all working mothers have to face.

Today is the last day that mummy and I are going to spend the day together cos from tomorrow onwards I will be taken care by nenek already.
Mummy is going back to work tomorrow. I know she is very sad because this morning she bathed me, I saw tears in her eyes. How I wish I can put my arms around her and tell her it's ok, I will be in good hands and ask her not to be feel sad.

Mummy, I will miss you too.
But you need to work.
Cos you need to buy me more toys.
Muahahahaha!

Scaly Head-Sore Eyes-Crater Face

Haiz...Problem after problem.
Poor mummy has been running to the PD every now and then cos new problem seems to sprout out one after another.

First was the case of scaly head. On my 3rd week, abah actually discovered gluey stuff that stuck to the back of my scalp and upon further investigation, they discovered "bubble like" pimples at the back of my head which have some yikey pus like thing when the skin is broken. And they are smelly.... Eeeeeeks.
Mummy then brought me to the PD who confirmed that the suction of the vacuum caused my skin to be irritated and so that explained the bubble like stuff...

Next was sore eyes. My left eye had lots of eye shit and although mummy cleaned it off for me with water, it just kept on accumulating. And then 2 days later my left eye really cannot open cos the infection got worst and there went mummy running to the PD again which I was given eye drops to apply.

Now.
I have so many pimples on my face.. It's like a huge pimple plantation! So many all over my face until I so shy to face people. Apparently its due to some hormones from mummy's milk which caused the zits and it is normal and PD says it will go over after a few days...

Oh God, please make them all go away soon.. ok?

Going Home Part II

After a month's stay at nenek Bayah's house.. it's time for us to head back for our own home.

Home. The place where I will feel safe and warm. The place where I will spend my childhood and my years growing up. The place where it will bring lots of memories for the 3 of us as mummy and abah watch me crawl... walk... stumble....

I will miss nenek Bayah for sure.. after all she took great care of me during this one month and not to mention mummy as well. While mummy recuperated during her confinement, the family took care of us and all our needs which we will always be grateful.
I will miss her sleep inducing " Laa ilaaha ill Allah ..Muhammad rasullullah" lullabies in the afternoons which uncle Hassan always say that it will put him to sleep instead...
And datuk Jamil's dunlopillo... so big and soft.. and oh so comfortable!

The next 2 months will just be exclusive bonding time with mummy while she counts down to what is left of her maternity leave.

Skinhead

Bye-bye beautiful hair....

Today I am getting my first shave and probably for the next 10 months or so, you will not see me with any hair.. Hard to imagine.. I think I will be feeling quite cold cos no hair to protect my little kuang tou... Brrrrrrr...

Nenek Aishah came to shave me this morning. Mummy was too scared to do it cos my head is still very soft and she was afraid she would cut me accidentally. Wow.. I got to say Nenek Aishah was really an expert. She shaved all my hair off within a few minutes while I was sleeping and I didnt even stirred...Mummy is really timid when it comes to such things... She even needed Nenek Iman to cut my nails for me the other day....She said that everything very tiny, she needs a microcope.

Btw in case you are wondering...Nenek Aishah and Nenek Iman are not some old, wrinkled women with no teeth..In fact they are only a few years older than mummy and abah.. I know the term sounds old but actually I got many neneks and datuks in the extended family who have not even crossed 40 years of age..! My youngest nenek is the same age as mummy lor!

So do you like my new look?
